Aerones is a Latvian robotics company, founded in 2015 and headquartered in Riga, that builds robots to service wind turbines. Its rope-suspended robots and software take on blade inspection, lightning-protection testing, cleaning, coating and repair of the blades' front edges, work that otherwise sends technicians up the turbine on ropes, and it also carries out drone inspections. The company develops and manufactures its robots itself and runs the service for turbine owners and operators.
