About
AeroVironment, which now uses the short name AV, was founded in 1971 by engineer Paul MacCready and is based in Arlington, Virginia. Its air products include the Puma and P550 unmanned aircraft, the JUMP 20-X, and the Switchblade 300, 400 and 600 loitering munitions.
