About
Albacore is a Philadelphia company, founded in 2025, that builds long-range uncrewed underwater vehicles for military use. Its first vehicle, Ghostfin, is about 8.5 feet long and 425 pounds dry, and is designed for about 1,000 nautical miles of range and 30 days of endurance. It is assembled from widely available commercial parts and configurable mission modules for survey, logistics and strike, so it can be built at scale with little specialized machinery.
