American Robotics builds automated drone systems that live in a dock on site, launch on a schedule, and fly inspection and security missions without a pilot standing by. Its first product, the Scout System, was aimed at oil and gas, mining and bulk materials sites. Its current system, Optimus, pairs a drone with a dock that swaps batteries and payloads by itself so it can keep flying around the clock. The company also offers Kestrel, a detect-and-avoid and counter-drone system that can work alongside Optimus.
