Aviern
Dock-based unmanned airplanes that patrol pipeline rights-of-way, sold by the mile.
About
Aviern flies fixed-wing unmanned aircraft over pipeline rights-of-way for oil and gas operators. Each airplane is kept in a dock installed beside the line and takes off, flies its patrol and lands on its own; the company lists about five hours of endurance and 500 miles of range per flight. Onboard software flags encroachments such as digging machinery or new structures, signs of leaks, erosion and ground movement, and the findings come back located by milepost for the operator's required patrol reports.
