Blue Water Autonomy
Uncrewed, long-range ocean ships for the U.S. Navy, built at a Louisiana shipyard.
About
Blue Water Autonomy designs autonomous ships meant to spend months at sea on the open ocean with little human help. Its first vessel, the Liberty class, is a 190-foot steel ship with a stated range of more than 10,000 nautical miles and room for over 150 metric tons of payload, such as missile, sensor or logistics modules. The design adapts a proven Damen patrol hull under a licensing agreement and re-engineers it for uncrewed operation.
