CTP (Commonwealth Trading Partners) is an export control and trade compliance firm in Herndon, Virginia, founded in 1993 by Tom Fergus, a former licensing engineer at the Commerce Department's export agency, and Dale Barone, now its president. It has worked in many countries to set up nonproliferation and export control systems for the State Department, and in 2008 it began helping private companies with U.S. export controls.
