Kalam Labs is an Indian aerospace company that builds unmanned aircraft for the upper atmosphere. Hydrogen balloons carry its aircraft to altitudes of up to about 100,000 feet, where they are released to fly autonomously. Its products include a high-altitude surveillance UAV with electro-optical and infrared sensors and a retrievable radiosonde that gathers weather data and flies back to be reused, and it also shows designs for a long-endurance stratospheric airship and for swarms of small strike drones released from high altitude.
