DOTD's advanced air mobility project, one of eight chosen nationwide in early 2026 for the federal eVTOL and AAM Integration Pilot Program; centered on Houma-Terrebonne Airport, testing cargo and personnel transport. Who it is for: Per DOTD, it involves U.S.-based original equipment manufacturers, operators, surveillance and data providers, academic partners and community stakeholders. The federal pilot program was set up under Executive Order 14307, 'Unleashing American Drone Dominance' (June 6, 2025).
