Under Nebraska's Secure Drone Purchasing Act (2025), NDOT keeps a list of drones meeting state and federal cybersecurity standards; from Jan. 1, 2027, state agencies may only acquire listed drones. Who it is for: Makers or others who want a drone considered for the list (NDOT says to call its Aeronautics Division), and Nebraska agencies that buy drones. The list published September 1, 2026 names each drone's maker, country of origin and compliance method, Blue UAS or NDAA Vendor Disclosure.
