ScoutDI is a Trondheim company, founded in 2017, that builds the Scout 137, a tethered drone system for inspecting enclosed spaces that would otherwise need scaffolding or rope access, such as ship cargo tanks, refinery vessels and storage tanks, boilers, mines, tunnels and dams. The drone can carry a 4K zoom camera, an ultrasonic thickness gauge, a 3D LiDAR or gas sensors, and its Scout Portal software is used to review flights and write inspection reports.
