Tethys Robotics, a spin-off of ETH Zurich based in Schlieren, builds Tethys ONE, a compact underwater drone for inspecting structures in rough water. It holds its position in strong currents, navigates by combining data from several sensors when the water is too murky to see, and carries camera, sonar and ultrasonic payloads. It is aimed at offshore wind farms, hydropower plants, utilities and other owners of submerged infrastructure.
