Zelim is an Edinburgh company that builds technology for finding and rescuing people who fall into the sea. ZOE uses cameras around a ship or platform and AI to detect a person going overboard and keep tracking them in the water; Swift is a recovery system that lifts a casualty out of the water on a conveyor; and Guardian is an uncrewed, remotely operated rescue boat for recoveries where it is unsafe or hard to send a crewed one. In September 2026 it showed Guardian II, a seven-metre rescue craft with remote operation, at the SMM trade fair in Hamburg.
