Purchasing portal
How to register
- Register the business with the Iowa Secretary of State (sos.iowa.gov). The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) vendor guide says all vendors doing business with the State of Iowa must do this.
- Create a vendor account in IMPACS using the 'Create New Account' link on the DAS Vendor Registration page. DAS says one set of credentials works for all IMPACS and JAGGAER applications.
- Sign in to the vendor portal and complete the vendor registration. The IMPACS Quick Guide says new vendors must fill in remittance (payment) information, and a DUNS number is not needed.
- Choose IMPACS commodity codes. DAS emails bid opportunities to vendors based on the codes they register under.
- Check DAS Bidding Opportunities (bidopportunities.iowa.gov) often. DAS says the page also links to bids from other areas of state government, including the Department of Transportation and the Board of Regents institutions.
- Sign up for a virtual Supplier Orientation through the form on the DAS Supplier Orientation page. DAS holds sessions on Thursdays, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Central time. DAS says sessions cover the basics of public procurement, what the State buys, where to find solicitations, whom to contact, and the no-cost services of the CIRAS APEX Accelerator.
- After an award, send a signed Federal Identification (W-9) form to the issuing officer, according to DAS. For electronic payment, also complete the EFT (electronic funds transfer) Authorization Form.
- DAS says there is no charge to get on the state bidders list.
- For help, email purchasing.mailbox@iowa.gov or call DAS Central Procurement at 515-281-7073. For IMPACS sign-in problems, JAGGAER Supplier Support is at 1-800-233-1121, option 3.

We help you prepare your documents
With a company account, the Company Toolkit drafts your documents from your company file and your numbers; for drone companies and manufacturers, the readiness guide walks you through each registration. Document Check, a paid review, reads your documents before you send them. Your page puts you in front of buyers, lenders, investors and production partners.
